La Sultana, Marrakech

January 10, 2023

Hidden from prying eyes, just moments from the royal palaces, museums, and souks of magical Marrakech there is a place that will capture you with its old-time beauty, authentic soul, and its warm, relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel at home.

Everything at La Sultana tells the tale of Morocco, whether embedded in the architectural details, their hospitality, their cuisine, or their Argan-infused spa.

Primely located inside the royal quarter of the Kasbah in the Medina, - in the ‘golden triangle’ between the Royal Palace and the Saadian Tombs - La Sultana consists of five blissfully quiet riads encompassing 28 rooms, all of them enriched by artworks and decorated in a different style signifying various historical periods.

The pale pink Riad Scheherazade features intricate stucco work and fine zellij tiling typical of the Saadian era. Set around a large pool, the brick-lined Riad Almohad evokes the royal granary that once stood here when the Almohad Dynasty ruled. Jewel-colored Riad Saadia is clad in carved cedarwood, while Riad Sabaa is a vision of all-white stucco and marble set around a large whirlpool bath.

The cuisine at La Sultana is crafted in rhytm with the seasons. The two on-site restaurants serve only local produce with "100% Botanical" options and ethically-sourced meat & fish. Whether you opt for the lantern-lit courtyard with the pool or the rooftop restaurant overlooking the Saadian Tombs, the experience will be nothing short of intimate and magical.

La Sultana Marrakech's award-winning, spa is a secret hideaway where you can enjoy individually tailored, traditional Moroccan treatments including the famous Royal Hammam using black soap made from pressed olives.

If you are keen on a sensory immersion and reasserting your inner compass, there are few destinations more enticing than Marrakech and few places more captivating than this boutique retreat.
